OOXML Utils – Video: Dave Challis – Pitch 44 – Day 2

This project aims to provide an open source API and utilities for manipulating Open Office XML documents.Initial ideas for utilities/uses include:- Dynamically created a slideshow summarising all presentations submitted to a conference- Extracting metadata from OOXML documents when submitted to institutional repositories- Extracting text from presentations to create wordles- Dynamically generating branded/template documents- Re-creating slideshows by extracting images from slideshare or other web presentation, turning back into a file
