Janko Calic from the University of Surrey talks about FreeEyeFreeEye is an interface that makes it easier to search through image databasesWhat is FreeEye?It’s an interactive intuitive interface for large scale image databases. There is a problem in visualising the relations between images and videos on a large scale. FreeEye represents those relations in an interactive and intuitive way.How would you like other software developers and users to get involved in what you are doing?The integration with existing semantic structures and databases would be a very interesting collaboration.What developer communities have you been involved in and if none, why not?I’ve come from the research world so am not that much of a developer.What is the coolest or most exciting thing in educational software development?I liked 8D the stuff that I’ve seen from Kent.
