Celebrate Liberation

 

We teamed up with UK Discovery to offer a global Developer Competition throughout July 2011 to build open source software applications / tools, using at least one of 10 open data sources collected from libraries, museums and archives.

 

Open Repositories 2011

 

We asked developers at the Open Repositories event in Austin, Texas, to show us the future of repositories.

 

Open Repositories 2010

 

We offered a challenge to developers attending Open Repositories 2010 in Madrid, asking them to create a functioning repository user-interface, presenting a single metadata record which includes as many automatically created, useful links to related external content as possible.

  1. Call for Concept Papers for 2nd ITU’s Green ICT Application Challenge: ITU and Telefonica are hosting a challenge to find the best and most innovative Concept Paper for an ICT application that would help enable Sustainable Energy for All.
    The winner will be awarded the cash prize of USD 3,000 and will be invited to present it in Paris during the 2nd ITU Green Standards Week.
